Local Tech Startup Launches Innovative App to Help Small Businesses Thrive

Nairobi, Kenya — A Nairobi-based tech startup, BizBoost Africa, has launched a new mobile app aimed at helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) manage operations, sales, and customer engagement more efficiently.

The app, dubbed BizBoost, offers features such as inventory tracking, invoicing, mobile payments integration, and customer relationship management tools—all in one platform. Designed specifically for the African market, the app is lightweight, works offline, and supports local languages and currencies.

“We understand the unique challenges SMEs face in this region,” said Samuel Mwangi, CEO and co-founder of BizBoost Africa. “Our app is designed to give small business owners the same tools that larger enterprises have, but at a fraction of the cost and complexity.”

The launch event, held at iHub Nairobi, was attended by local entrepreneurs, investors, and representatives from the Ministry of ICT. During the event, attendees had a chance to test the app and offer feedback.

“This is the kind of innovation we need to empower our entrepreneurs,” said Grace Wanjiru, a representative from the ICT Authority. “Digital tools like BizBoost can drive inclusive economic growth by making it easier for businesses to scale.”

BizBoost is now available on both Android and iOS platforms. The company is offering a free three-month trial, with plans to expand to other East African countries by the end of the year.
